In the words of Junot Díaz, a Dominican-American writer and creative writing professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, “Art has a way of confronting us, of reminding us, of engaging us, in what it means to be human… The whole culture is telling you to hurry, while the art tells you to take your time. Always listen to the art.” Join members of this past year’s Wellspring’s Sacred Arts spiritual deepening curriculum, as they give us a chance to experience art in many of its forms, and an opportunity to connect with our own spirits and each other’s. All are encouraged to have with them a journal, knitting, drawing materials, or anything they might use for their own creative exploration.
