Be our guest on Sunday!

Changes in the pandemic landscape may lead to changes to our Worship format.

One of the best ways to get to know us is joining us for a Sunday service. We know a first time anywhere new is exciting yet it can be daunting too. We strive to be radically welcoming and will work hard to help you feel comfortable. The information below should help with your first visit. You might plan to arrive 5-10 minutes early – especially if you’re bringing children.

What are your services like?
Our service is held every Sunday at 10am; it’s currently in a hybrid format, occurring both in person and online. You can watch the livestream each week on our YouTube channel. Our service is about one hour in length and includes music, hymns, readings, and a sermon. Please use the contact form to let us know if you’d like to attend virtually so we can send you more information and the link for a Virtual Coffee Hour after the service.

Where are you located?
We are located at 6301 River Road, Bethesda, on the corner of River and Whittier Roads. When you come into the parking lot there are designated visitor parking spots up the driveway to the second area on your left. There are handicapped parking spots to the left side of our building. Handicap accessible doors are the front doors and the door under the bridge, near the handicap parking spaces. You may drop off passengers in front of our building. Parking is also available on the streets in the neighborhood.

What should I wear?
Please dress comfortably. People dress in everything from blue jeans to suits, with most people wearing outfits in between. Whether you dress up or down, you won’t be alone! Children often go outside for their classes, so please make sure they are dressed for the current weather.

Do you have assistive hearing devices?
Yes, we do! Our receivers can connect to your t-coil or bluetooth-enabled hearing aids. Download the WaveCAST Receiver app and follow the tutorial to connect via our WiFi network. Or, borrow a pair of headphones and connect directly to a receiver. Our Sunday morning greeters are happy to guide you through the process.

What should I do when I arrive?
Services are held in the Sanctuary Building – the large building in the front as you come in from the parking lot. Please stop inside the main entrance at our Welcome Table for a name tag and guest information. Greeters are happy to assist you and your family with finding your way around, identifying classes with your children, meeting others, and answering your questions.

What will my children do?
Children and youth are welcome to attend worship with their parents or check out our wonderful religious education options.

What about my baby?
Our professionally staffed childcare is available for children through 3 years old. Your baby is welcome into the service with you or, if you prefer, you may sit with them in the lounge, rocker area, or Fellowship Hall and still be able to hear the service.

What happens after the service?
Following services, you’re invited for fellowship and refreshments. We’re on hand to welcome you and answer your questions. Find information and connections at the Welcome table, check out our grounds, enjoy the latest art exhibit, and get to know us.
