Our Bodies, In Real Life

Rev. Amanda Poppei, Senior Minister, Unitarian Universalist Church of Arlington, VA

As we look forward to our fall reopening and the chance to be together again–in person–inside–in real life–how are we relating to each other’s bodies, and to our own? Some of us have bodies that have changed during our time away; some of us have bodies that have always been scrutinized by others. What can we learn from virtual life, and how can we use our return to reset our relationship with embodiment? Rev. Amanda will explore consent, healthy boundaries, the concept of body neutrality, and the push-pull of an embodied life.
