West Virginia Multigenerational Service Learning Trip
Each summer, a multigenerational group from RRUUC travels to McDowell County WV to work with the people of Big Creek People in Action. Days are spent making homes safer, drier, warmer, and generally more livable. In the evenings, we learn about the rich culture of this corner of Appalachia.
The trip is for adults and youth who are incoming 9th graders and older.
Our summer 2021 trip was August 7-13. We hope to open to all incoming 9th graders and older in 2022, dependent on Covid restrictions.
We’re collecting used tools in good condition. Please drop off tools outside room 32.
