The budget for River Road, which consists of estimated revenues and expenses, is approved and amended by the Board of Trustees. The fiscal year is July 1 to June 30. Pledges from members and friends support about 3/4 of the budget, which is now over $1 million.
Financial reporting is under the general supervision of the Treasurer, who is appointed annually by the Board. The current Treasurer is Tim Shick. Day to day supervision of expenditures is the responsibility of the Administrator, and the Bookkeeper.
The Finance Committee, appointed by the Board, drafts the budget, reviews the monthly financial reports, and performs special analyses as needed. The current chair is Bruce Davis.
The Endowment Committee solicits donations and bequests for the Endowment Fund, the purpose of which is to insure the long-term health of River Road and to support liberal religion in special ways. The Committee also manages the Endowment investments.
The roles of these actors, and others, are explained in detail in Financial Roles and Responsibilities, which is listed below along with the most recent annual financial reports of the Treasurer.
