Sundays

The heart of our religious community is Sunday morning which includes worship services for all and religious education for children and youth. Our worship includes celebrating the wonder of life and experiencing personal and spiritual growth, moral challenge and intellectual stimulation. Our ministers' sermons offer religious insights on personal concerns and ethical perspectives on pertinent issues.

A typical worship service includes music, singing of hymns, a children's story time, a brief period to share individual joys and sorrows, and a 20-25 minute sermon. Six to eight times a year, the service is led by lay members. Periodically throughout the year special celebrations, in which children and youth join the adults for the whole service, highlight holiday seasons and other special occasions.

School-age children remain in the service through the story time and then proceed to the education wing for religious education classes. Smaller children (infants to preschoolers) can proceed directly to their classrooms before the service starts.

After every service, there is a coffee hour for informal conversations. Visitors are encouraged to take a yellow coffee mug to allow us to stop by and get to know you better.
