- A wedding at River Road.
“What greater thing is there for two human souls than to feel that they are joined together—to strengthen each other in all labor, to minister to each other in all sorrow, to share with each other in all gladness, to be one with each other in the silent, unspoken memories?” – George Eliot
River Road Unitarian Universalist Congregation provides a beautiful natural wooded setting to celebrate weddings and commitment ceremonies. Unitarian Universalist ceremonies welcome Unitarian Universalist couples and couples from differing faith traditions who are looking for a way with genuine integrity to recognize the sacredness of this ceremony and wishing to share it with people of many faiths.
The ministers at River Road Unitarian Universalist Congregation are happy to work with couples to plan their ceremonies to include special readings, rituals or music. For more information about the content of some Unitarian Universalist ceremonies, please look at the Wedding & Commitment Ceremony Workbook (PDF file) and the building rental information. Depending on the size of the wedding, receptions can also be held at RRUUC.
Join us on any Sunday morning (9:15 or 11:15 a.m. in the fall and winter and 10:00 a.m. in the summer) to experience the life and energy of our congregation and the aesthetics of our sanctuary and grounds.
