The Third Act For Women Over 50: Finding Meaning, Fulfillment and Joy

on Saturday, November 15, 9:30-4:30p

For those of us in our 50’s, 60’s, 70’s and 80’s we are entering a period of life that is virtually uncharted, a time in which women are free from social expectations and reduced family obligations, perhaps considering “retirement” from a career, with the freedom, resources and desire to engage in new activities with meaning and purpose. This gives us the opportunity to turn our dreams into realities, to consider options previously considered impractical and prioritize how we want to spend our time. But few of us have the “script” for how we want to proceed. This interactive workshop provides an engaging, meaningful and fun inquiry that will enable participants to intentionally create the next phase of their lives with meaning and fulfillment. Just a reminder, this is a member rental, not a RRUUC class.

Kimberly Weichel is a social entrepreneur, author, cross cultural trainer and peacebuilder with extensive global experience. She is CEO of Peace X Peace, an international women’s peacebuilding and leadership organization with a network of 30,000 women in 125 countries and a member of RRUUC.

Joanne Grady Huskey is a cross cultural trainer and international educator and author of the book, The Unofficial Diplomat. Presently, she is a co-founder and Vice President of I LIVE 2 LEAD:  Young Women's International Leadership Program and has worked with women in over 80 nations on five continents and a member of RRUUC.

Gentle Yoga

Gentle Yoga focuses on breath, balance and stretching for those who have not taken yoga before, as well as those familiar with it. This offering is specifically designed for folks to try it out!  Meets eight (8) Monday evenings, beginning September 12 from 7:30-8:45pm. Cost for the class is $140 for the full 8 sessions, $21/single session drop-in.   Sign up with Deb Peck.  Just a reminder, this is a member rental, not an RRUUC class. 

Leader Deb Peck has been a certified yoga instructor since 2008, teaching classes at RRUUC, as well as yoga in the workplace for Urban Yoga.  She began practicing yoga at RRUUC  in the 1990’s, and became aware of how enriched her life became with her own practice.  Deb teaches Hatha yoga.
