All-Congregation Retreat, Camp Tockwogh, Worton, MD
This is a great opportunity to meet people in the congregation. Children and youth can make new friends or renew old friendships. It is a casual weekend of fellowship, fun and outdoor activity.

Halloween Party between services
Costumes, pumpkin carving, donuts on strings, bobbing for apples, hunting for candy in the hay, face painting, frosting cookies, creating cards for Children's Hospital and more celebrations of the holiday.
November 18
All Souls Food Drive
The entire congregation collects food to be distributed to families for Thanksgiving. RRUUC youth deliver the food to All Souls Unitarian Church in the District for sorting and distribution.

Intergenerational Services: Celebrating Famous Unitarian Universalists
School-age children and older join this service of stories and skits about famous Unitarian Universalists.

Preparing for the Bazaar
Families of older elementary children often participate in setting up, sorting and pricing items for the biggest bazaar in Montgomery County. It's great fun and helps clean out your closets.

Hanging of the Greens Party
Families gather for a potluck and decorate the congregation for the holidays.

Holiday Party between Services
Gingerbread houses, bird feeders, making little boxes, spin art cards, dreydl games and bringing gifts for Beacon House and La Clinca children are all part of this festive event.

One of the Christmas Eve services involves a participatory celebration especially designed for the entire family. Watch the newsletter for more information about opportunities to participate.
January 26
Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre
This event is organized by the high school youth. There are roles to play for everyone who wants one, and all participates in following the clues to guess whodunnit.
February 3
Stone Soup Sunday
Children act out the Stone Soup story in each service. All children are invited to bring cut vegetables for soup, and adults may bring cheese and bread. After each service the soup is shared during the coffee hour.
Mid February
Mystery Pals Program Begins
Children who participate in Mystery Pals are paired with an adult or teen, and each tries to discover the other's identity through notes and letters delivered over several weeks to a special mailbox. The fun concludes with an ice cream social between services.

Flower Communion Sunday, and Environmental Expo after each service. Members and friends bring flowers to share at the service.

One Service at 10:00 a.m.
Summer Program begins with an all-ages Memorial Day Celebration in the Fireside Room and on the Patio. Stories about famous Unitarian Universalists are followed by a memorial service on the patio. The children make tombstones and flowers and act as ministers, giving eulogies.
