Community knitting projects for River Road's Action Week
It is our joy to be here.
It is our joy to be here among like-minded friends who work with yarn and value their spirituality.
This gathering of Mindful Knitters affirms our desire to make knitting with spirit a priority in our lives.
Acknowledging this, our joy may be enhanced when knitting or crocheting for others: whether through making, blessing and presenting healing shawls, or creating gifts for members and friends of our RRUUC community and others.
Through these efforts, we embody the congregational goal of uniting in the spirit of fun and a culture of caring.
Mindful Knitters Meetings
The Mindful Knitters meet the second Monday of the month from 7:15 p.m. to 9 p.m. in room 32 on the lower level of RRUUC’s new building. Meetings are open and all are welcome to join us. Come explore your spirit and participate in creating caring shawls for our community and friends as well as community knitting projects for River Road's Action Week .
Healing Shawl Blessing
May grace be upon this shawl…
Warming, comforting,
Enfolding and embracing.
May this mantle be a safe haven…
A sacred place of security and well-being…
Sustaining and embracing in good times as well as difficult ones.
May the one who receives this shawl
Be cradled in hope, kept in joy, graced with peace, and wrapped in love.
Blessed Be
