Extend Your Summer at the RRUUC Retreat!!
Get away from the heat, chaos and stress of Washington at RRUUC's annual Fall Retreat. Plan now to join friends and meet new folks of all ages at Camp Tockwogh on Maryland's glorious Eastern Shore the weekend after Labor Day, from:
Friday, September 5th through Sunday, September 7th, 2008
Special enhancements include RRUUC-designed sessions such as bird-watching, photography, yoga, painting, thought-provoking discussions, spiritual programs and contra dancing. There are special activities for children and youth - including two tantalizing Tockwogh-led ropes courses. Families may also stay and play together. It's your option!
The fun starts Friday, September 5th at 4:00 PM at the Sign-In desk, and dinner begins at 5:30 PM. Thereafter, there's a beautiful bonfire behind Sharp Hall, complete with music and s'mores. You can enjoy the camp until 4:00 PM on Sunday, although organized activities end with Sunday morning services and lunch. Several types of accommodations are available, but the less rustic options fill up quickly, so don't delay registering. (Registrations must include a check for the full amount. Scholarships ARE available - just contact Rev. Scott Alexander or Mimi Mattis.)
Download a registration form above. Paper registration forms are also available weekdays at RRUUC at the Volunteer Desk and in the lobby or Fellowship Hall on Sundays. If you have questions, please contact Mimi Mattis or Scott Matheson; you can e-mail us at retreat(at)rruuc.org.
Tempting outdoor activities, natural beauty, sharing experiences and creating community - isn't that what summer is about? Add to your enjoyment and extend the season!
