This covenant was finalized in December of 2011. We will review and recommit to this covenant annually, and whenever new staff joins our congregation.
As the staff and ministers of RRUUC, we covenant to work together as a team holding ourselves and one another accountable in the following ways:
Communication among staff
Good and clear communication among staff is essential to our work as a team. Therefore, we promise to respond to requests for information in a timely manner, even if the response is “I don’t have the information”. Furthermore, we promise to be proactive in sharing information that might have a use or have an impact on another staff members’ work or relations.
Communication with the congregation
We will actively listen to congregants, honor their confidences, do our best to deliver timely, accurate information, and encourage members to communicate directly with each other. We will work to speak with a united voice to the congregation.
Conflict
We covenant to expect the best of one another and assume good intentions, engage conflict respectfully and with compassion, take responsibility for expressing our concerns, and live graciously with conflict or disagreements that cannot be resolved.
Diversity
We will respect, honor and engage the differences in our life circumstances.
