River Road Unitarian Universalist Congregation is on the corner of River Road and Whittier Boulevard in Bethesda, in a beautiful natural wooded setting.  The clean, simple lines and natural materials of stone, wood and brick create a lovely setting for religious ceremonies, celebrations, concerts, and meetings. The building is fully air-conditioned.

Our new fellowship hall will open in Spring 2008.  Additional details will be posted soon.

• Seating Capacity:

Auditorium:  240 plus the balcony will seat an additional 60. Movable seating with oak chairs can be arranged to complement the occasion.

Fellowship Hall: about 150 in rows for meetings.

Fireside Room: 60-80 people.

Library and Classrooms: see fee schedule.

• Receptions: The facilities at River Road are appropriate for receptions for up to approximately 100 people. In the Fellowship Room 80-100 people can be seated at 10 tables of 8-10.  The renter will need to arrange for a caterer and all tableware and table linen, etc.

• Piano: The auditorium includes two grand pianos.  Details about using these instruments as part of a rental may be obtained by contacting the music director.

• Handicapped Accessibility: The facility is handicapped accessible.  Two elevators provide access to all areas of the building except the sanctuary balcony. There are fully accessible restrooms located throughout the building.
